PHP7技術者認定[初級]試験について　受験宣言で書籍をいただきたいです！

WordPressのテーマ作成には欠かせないプログラミング言語「PHP」ですが、独学である程度使用できるようにはなりました。
ですが、しっかりと基礎を固めて、資格も取りたいという欲求が出てきました。

一口に資格と言っても何からやるべきか？
色々調べてみると「PHP」はまず、バージョンで分かれるようです。

もちろんバージョン7シリーズが新しく、Webページのセキュリティ的、プログラムの実行速度的にも良いのですが、まだまだPHPバージョン5で作成されているWebページは多いようです。

バージョン5のPHP試験もあるくらいなので、勉強してもいいとは思います。
今のところ上級試験はPHP5しかないようです。ですが今後PHP7の上級試験も出てくるかもしれません。

WordPress5以上のバージョンでは、PHP5の記述でエラーが出て焦るときがありました。
現在では完全に非推奨となっています。
2020年からパンデミックの影響で、リモートワーク化が進められるようになりました。
この影響からか、リモートワーク中の人などを狙った、ネットワーク上の脅威が2020年から格段に増えています。

WordPressのバージョンアップもセキュリティ面で欠かせないものなので、WordPressのテーマ作成を目指す方は7の方を勉強をした方がよさそうです。

2020年の11月にPHPのバージョン8がリリースされました。これによりPHP7も最新バージョンではなくなりました。
しかしPHP8との互換性がある部分もあり、比較的最新バージョンなのは間違いありません。
WordPressもPHP8に対応するようになりましたが、PHP7でもまだまだ対応してくれると思われます。

PHP7を勉強しておけば、あとから8に移行する時は下位互換性のない部分を勉強をして、あとから脳内のバージョンをアップデートできそうですからね。
PHP5から移行するよりは楽なのではないかと少し楽観しています！

「PHP」をある程度触れてはいるものの、ほかの方から、「じゃあ実際にどのくらい触れるのか？」と言われると、資格がなければ証明するものがありません。
プログラムは「少し触って変更できる」という程度から、「一からすべて組み立てられますよ」というところまで、幅広いスキルの差があります。

そんな時に指標になるのがやはり資格です。
資格を持っていれば、「ああ、この人は大体このレベルのことまではできるんだな。」ということを相手にわかってもらうことができます。

ですので、「2021年9月末までにPHP技術者認定試験を受験します！」
9月末と言わず8月末までには何とかしたいところです。

こちらをしっかり読み込む予定です。
まずは「PHP」の基礎や動作、役割について学んでいかないと、「このプログラムで何ができるのか？」は漠然としてしか見えてこないです。
概念的なことが分からないと、このプログラムでこういうことがやりたいという発想が生まれないと思います。
その発想が生まれないと、良いプログラムは書けないでしょう。

Webページで様々なサンプルプログラムを検索して、取り入れたりしていますが、基本はコピペ。
これを自分の力と発想で解決できるようにしたいです。
